Kit Review: Panaracer T-Serv Tyres
Our Rating: 8/10
Model
Panaracer T-Serv PT folded tyre - 26 x 1.75 Inch.

Purchased July 2011

Description
Panaracer Pasela Tour Guard Tyre
The T-Serv is primarily designed with urban city riding in mind. It’s a PT belted tyre so you get the extra puncture resistance under the tread which gives you the puncture resistance without comprising too much on weight.
Review
Panaracer put us in touch with Sports Imports (www.bikesportz.com.au) whom kindly gave us some treads to put to trial.

We have been commuting and touring on the T-Serv’s for over 20 months and have done well over 1,500 kms. The treads still look in good condition, no visible signs of wear and so far the puncture count stands at zero. On the road they feel zippy and have the grip to give you the confidence to take corners at pace. As it’s a folded tyre it compacts up well and at 450 grams we think it makes an ideal spare tyre to pack in.

  • Light (450 grams)
  • Grippy
  • Durable
  • Puncture resistant
Cons
  • Reduced grip on loose services such as gravel.
  • Puncture resistant shield is under tread only so no bead to bead protection.
